Et tu Phoebe Putney?

Bibles are still allowed, but the Gideons just can't show up and go room to room evangelizing.

Someone on this board must know some folks there.

DEI???

Is that still a thing?
Phoebe issued a statement. Their assertion is they don’t allow any groups access to rooms, regardless of religious affiliation. And they don’t allow objects such as books that can’t be sanitized placed in rooms.

I accept that if true, but that’s not what is stated above. Above it talks about DEI policy.

This is one of those "what are we doing, where are we going?" moments for me. I have always been uncertain regarding the line between State/Religion. Keeping the Church from running our government is a good thing (see Iran). But when Christianity is banned in our society outside of the inside of a Christian Church and DEI (it's own religion) is vigorously pushed by our Govt across all levels of society? When our tax dollars build prayer equipment for Muslims in Minneapolis but a Christian is not allowed to pray out loud? When the bible is considered "divisive" but child porn is encouraged?

I will stand up for what I know to be true and right for the time being but as far as fighting? I'm just ready for the big guy to go ahead and say "time's up". Hopefully we win another Natty or two in the mean time.

Damn, y’all !

This is crazy. When did distributing free bibles become a DEI issue? As a person of color who has been to my share of bs job interviews, I believe it's needed but people need to stop dumping their nonsense on to legitimate issues. Reading the bible helped me get through my Iraq deployments. First CRT was blamed for everything now it's DEI. I can tell you as a retired military veteran with a masters degree that I took part in several interviews and knew from the questions being asked that I was interviewing with the wrong organization but you don't know this until you go in for the interview. It's really frustrating when people dump their personal agenda into these areas to bring negative attention to things that they don't believe should happen in our society. The DEI policy for this organization is trash.
