Let's check back in three years and see which is the bigger contributor to their team ... a weak defensive end that is not good at stopping the run, or a proven RB that can seal the game for you in the 4th quarter.
 
Falcons took a player who shouldn't have been drafted until the 2nd or 3rd round. With Williams gone, Gurley was the only other player in the draft worth a top 10 pick. They consistently blow it in the draft. The Julio Jones trade set the team back 5 years, and this pick will likely add a year or two to that number.

I will definitely agree with you on the Julio trade. But let's be honest, Gurley is injury prone so there is a lot to be seen.
 
Injury history aside, he has that it factor. The only other logical move for Atlanta would have been to trade back - which would have been a good move as well.
