How did bama get to keep the Texas game?

I'm sure it's been asked and answered, but didn't we have to drop the OU game because of their transition to the SEC?? Maybe I'm mistaken on exactly why we had to remove that game. If that is indeed the stated reason, why didn't bama have to drop UT?
