She and Liz are free to do whatever they want. It's up to voters to decide if they support their future political endeavors.

Translation: she does what she thinks is best for her situation and as a representative of her constituents rather than blindly doing the bidding of the national Democratic party.

Many Americans have become politically incompetent. Look at the outrage in these replies. Many think voting is strictly about giving 1 political party absolute power and that's it. So American.
Sorry but she's terrible. She is completely bought and paid for by corporate interests. She kills popular legislation and holds other legislation hostage till she gets loopholes and advantages for her rich billionaire and millionaire donors. She's not even sneaky about it. It's so out in the open and she loves to rub people's faces in it. She's everything wrong with modern politics. She's doing this for one reason & one reason only. She is a God awful senator. People hate her. She would get demolished in a Dem primary and this is what she has to do to avoid the primary
The problem for her is she thinks she can cobble together a group of moderates on either side of the aisle and come out to a win, but the reason she won in 2018 is because of the Democratic base. She is trying to go after a coalition that in 2024 will not come close to resulting in victory. All this does is it flips the seat to the GOP in 2024. If the Dems hold off and don't run a legit candidate in a 3-way race she is not going to beat a republican straight up in a swing state/presidential year. There will be democrats who will flat out not vote for her because she is terrible. In a 3 way race she would come in 3rd, but she is a sitting senator, she will break off enough of the vote from a Ruben Gallego type & a Republican will win. The only way Dems keep the seat is if Sinema quits and becomes a lobbyist, which is what she is going to do.
Her political instincts are also atrocious. So her take from the 2022 midterms is that she should disband from the democratic party? The Democrats crushed it in Arizona! They flipped all 3 major statewide races and her colleague, Mark Kelly, won his senate race by 5%. They are 1 seat away in both legislatures of having a Democratic trifecta! Not to mention, if you listen to her give a speech, she makes Hillary Clinton look like an off the cuff speaker with authenticity. She sounds like the most scripted bad actress ever. Like a worse version of Kelly Loeffler.
Ruben Gallego is exactly who the Dems will run for her seat. Sinema wants to caucus with the Dems (like Bernie) but not answer to the Dem leadership. They have made her life miserable, down to letting the lefties stalk and badger her.
Not sure she sees her next step in politics. May want to take a cushy job from her supporters and be done with it. If she runs, a three way race will result in a runoff between the Republican and either Sinema or Gallego, probably Ruben G., which is the race the Dems want.
I think Kelly had an easy run in the midterm because he had all the name recognition, both as a Senator and as Gabby Giffords' husband. The favorite among the Pubs going in was AG Mark Brnovich. Odds on favorite for the nomination and would have given Kelly a very rough time.
As it turned out, Brnovich decided he didn't want to get elected and turned on his constituency after a 3+ year track record that gained him a lot of support. He finished 3rd in a primary he should have won easily. The primary winner, Blake Masters, is a newbie who needs more experience and track record to run for Senator.
