It’s going to take a real SOB to get this country back on track. They are going to have to make some tough decisions about where we are heading and on the economy.

That isnt happening the R party is a disaster..over turning wade and dragging it over everyone will not go well...had control of the house and did nothing but show Hunters nudes.....but heres a hint neither party actually wants to do anything because our prices for everything would rise....the illegals provide cheap labor. construction, farming, food processing...If they were smart they should have a walk out for a week and watch the country come to a halt...
It's not an either/or solution. As of today, we probably should completely shut down the border until we can catch our breath but an orderly immigration system would, could and should allow for the admittance of workers without bestowing endless benefits.
They could come in as temp workers and if they reported to return home or to extend their permit, they would be welcome to stay or return again. If they commit serious crimes or we had to hunt them down, they can't return. For long term workers, they could be issued visas that are checked at the border and function similarly to a passport. There really is no reason, if you are prioritizing American interests, that this type of system couldn't be operational in a year or so. You don't have to allow a mass invasion in order to get the peanuts picked.
I agree 100%. The last time we had that, they sat on their asses as Trump got things done without their help. I hope they get on board if given the opportunity in 2024 and on.

You might be shocked to know the location in this post is under the full control of your federal government. The feds are leaving multiple gates open along the border, with no CBP presence or surveillance.
Some Democrats will argue that these gates are left open during part of the year regardless of who is in charge. That is true to an extent, but that was established for flood plains to avoid water retention. It was never designed to be constant, and never intended to be without security.
Also, when anyone starts conflating legal immigrants with illegal border crossers, the conversation becomes disingenuous and is no longer based in reality. It is also highly insulting to legal immigrants in this country.
