So Libs: What IS the difference between Socialists and Democrats??

Apparently, not much.

http://www.cpusa.org/feeling-locked-out-of-the-american-dream/

Some cherry-picked items that stood out to me...
  • Capitalism foments racism, sexism, homophobia and anti-immigrant campaigns.
Capitalism is un-American. Instead of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, it traps us in a political system and economy focused on greed and the pursuit of private profits.
Socialism means re-structuring our economy to be fairer and more democratic.
What's not decided together is how the wealth we create could be fairly distributed. In a socialist economy, there would be social ownership and social control instead of private ownership and control.
  • In a socialist society, people would get paid for the work they do and rewarded for the initiatives they take. The difference? No corporate big shots getting paid billions for the work others do.
  • War, racism, sexism and homophobia would lose their corporate sponsors.
  • Reversing climate change, developing green industries, and sustainability would be top priorities. No doubt millions of young people would lead the way with such initiatives.
Capitalism in the United States can and will be replaced with a people-first socialist system. This will happen when a majority of our country's people are convinced of the need for such revolutionary change and are ready to make it happen.

So there's no wars involving a Socialist country? Nor Sexism or Racism? Really?
Was there ever a World War involving a Socialist country? Was that was Corporate Sponsored?
Was it Volkswagon? LMAO.
Some people buy literally anything if it's posted on the internet..
Look, I've been in truly socialist countries and people there WORK. If you don't have a job you
will get a job you don't want but a job nonetheless.
How are you going to convince people that are as entitled as Americans to get up out of the welfare state and go to work?
We literally pay people to stay OUT of the work force right now. How can you wean people off the idea that they
are entitled to other peoples money from the teat to the tomb?

Greece is the poster child for Socialism in all it's grandeur. i.e. a country that produces nothing, has everybody on unrealistic entitlements, can not defend itself, and depends on other countries to bail it out. Democrats can't wait to get to that level of ineptitude. It won't work, but I guess we have enough bloodsuckers in this country now that we will have a front row seat to see for ourselves.

Progressives/Socialists/Communists paint a pretty picture, yeah? Socialism is the cure for all that ails the world. LOL

Greece, as d-dawg points out above, has proven once again, as it always has throughout human history, socialism fails.

Capitalism has created more wealth and pulled more people out of poverty around the world than socialism ever could.

That's why I'm voting for Hillary. I'm sick of Republicans pretending to be for smaller government. They are worse the democrats. They keep putting Bushs', Romneys, McCains up for prez and they deserve exactly what they get. How many times are we going to fall for their BS. They are all in cahoots. I voting for Hillary as a vote against these idiots. I can't stand her, but shes getting my vote.

I say give the dems everything they want and bring it all down. That's the fix. The quicker its system is brought to its knees the quicker it can be fixed. This shat we are doing now is is slow death.

I'm out.

In Socialism one man exploits the other, in Capitalism, it is vice versa.

That said, the truth be told, having the freedoms to create your own wealth, will always triumph over the flawed and petty thinking that you are entitled to someone else's or that someone in the government can play god and assign you your life.

Human nature will never be beaten by the left, when there are more takers than givers, the system will destroy itself and we will start over, with men and women yet again being responsible for their own survival.

Liberalism, is a disease that makes untrue promises and offers false hope to people when their only true hope is to pull themselves up by their boot straps and make their own way not being slave to the Democrat Plantation system that is like heroin to the poor, lazy, or irresponsible.

It is a perpetual lie.

Seems to me these are just words used by the weak minded to stir up fear and resentment toward others ..... Just another attempt to create a perpetual 'them' that is out to get the righteous and good 'us'

If you can stir up fear, that's your first step on the way to controlling others , JBD, and we all know that this is all you long for , after you , yourself , have spent so much of your life being controlled by others of higher rank and position than yourself

You'd be better off talking about the weather in amity

This is a pretty funny point of view and i think you might be onto something. I think you're serious and I am, too.

I am serious. The reason Trump is popular is because it's a vote against the Republican establishment. It's not a vote for Trump. People have better sense than to think Trump is a legitimate candidate. Trump doesn't want to be President. He just wants to build his brand which equals his pocketbook.

I think you're spot on about the Trump thing. I know he can't be serious as a candidate and his background has been
a Clinton crony. He's spent time at their weddings, funerals and dinners and contributed untold millions to them AND their
'causes'. But the average Joe finds him entertaining and refreshing in the sense that he openly says what he thinks about
all the other candidates (Republican and Democrats).
It would be as entertaining as Joe Biden as a president, I can say that.

I still could not endorse Hilarity even if she personally promised me all her riches and then I wouldn't trust her
to pay me. The only reason to vote for her is if you are a dog-whistle liberal woman or a self-destructive masochist
who despises every American not named Hillary. She's less good than Sanders, imo and he's an admitted Socialist
who at least answers up to what he is.

Trump is this generations Ross Perot Billionaire giving the election to the Democrats while trying to present a suitable
3rd Party.
This is the weak-kneed Republicans fault more than a Democrat fault. Stick to what you preach. If you are a fiscal conservative
then be conservative, by Gawd - NOT simply turn belly up when the President walks by and hand over our taxpayers money for
every pet project he happens to like.
