The long-term Athenians on the board will remember the Tara Baker (UGA Law student) murder that happened back in 2001 over in Deer Park and was never solved. Others probably know about the case from the Classic City Crime podcast. Anyways, the GBI just announced that they have arrested and charged a suspect in her murder. I know several folks at ACCPD that have worked on this case over the years, and this has been something that has bothered them ever since it happened. Most didn't think an arrest would ever be made even though they all had a very good idea of who killed her. The fact they have finally been able to make an arrest after all these years is simply amazing.
