That a man should earn respect and not expect it as a right.

Respect is a privilege earned by ones actions. This is the message that is being lost on our younger generations as they have not had to, as a whole, work hard or sacrifice anything for their country.

The religion of the entitlement of respect is killing us. It is the very culture that is used to destroy the very foundations of our country.

Respect cannot demanded from others. It must be earned through the sacrifice of self.

A race or class of people cannot earn respect by looting and rioting. But it can earn respect by seeing our societal problems and attacking them selflessly.

That is what our leaders should be saying. And that is all they should be saying.

Ask not what your neighbor can do for you, but what you can do for your neighbor.
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

And do not ask those who would seek to harm us, to join you in a quest for forced respect. It is folly and serves no greater good.

I would like to hear him say, "Respect the rule of law. We have the best criminal justice system in the world. Let the investigation proceed and continue and see what happens. There is no reason to protest and riot at least until you know the outcome."

Of course I am doubtful of this presidents true motives. Three times he has stoked the flames of racism (Boston professor, Trayvon martin/Zimmerman, Michael Brown/darren Williams) and three times he has been wrong and yet here we are fanning those flames again.
