They did not send troops, which was partly by US design. The US knew that if IDF was fighting in the Muslim countries, it would create all hell and chaos in the ME.

As late as 10 years ago George Bush said he would be remembered positively by history because of the "Arab Spring" which was a dream of a democratic domino effect of democracy in the middle east imagined by Wolfowitz, Cheney, netanyahu,...and others..
