Mentioned before, but Georgia coaches had a chance to get in to see Carver's Marlon Davidson on Wednesday, as they were in Montgomery to check on Prince Tega Wanogho.

The five-star defensive end, currently ranked as the fifth overall player for 2016, tells me that he was able to shake hands with Georgia's Kevin Sherrer briefly, and the two have communicated since.

Davidson says Georgia is looking to use him in an outside linebacker role, which he says is something he's wanted to do "his whole life".

As for being the brother of a former Auburn player, Kenneth Carter, Davidson says the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry hasn't created any bad blood toward the Bulldogs, and he even called himself a fan.

He said he was impressed coaches came all the way to Montgomery to meet with him.

Oregon and AZ State have been checking in recently, as well.

Full story coming with him tomorrow.
