2016 Georgia Coaching Staff

What are we all hearing regarding the staff? I've seen several articles about who is being kept, being approached, etc.

We should know more Monday for the official announcement.

I fully expect a formal announcement as early as tonight, after the SEC Title game, but as late as tomorrow afternoon. We must get Smart signed quickly so he can assemble his staff and retain as many prospects as possible. My biggest concern is OC, to which I've seen Meachem, Napier and Helton all rumored as candidates.

I would much rather it be made official tomorrow, at any point, but Monday is my fear. We need to get Smart hired so he can get his coordinators in house, as I'm sure he already has a few in mind.

I'd put Cincy's Eddie Gran and Stanford's Mike Bloomgren on the list of potential OC candidates.

Another couple of names to put in the DC mix is Bama secondary coach Mel Tucker and Wisconsin's Dave Aranda. Aranda has great results as Wisconsin's DC, his players love and respect him. Tucker has both pro and college experience at DC, He's also considered a candidate to replace Kirby as Bama DC.

He could do a lot worse than keeping Our current defensive staff intact. I don't see a bad one in the bunch.

I think Sherrer and Rocker will stay but thr others will be gone. Offensively, I think we keep McClendon and Brown with the others gone too.
