I got a chance to see 2025 commit Jacob Wilkins tonight as No. 1 Grayson hosted No. 6 Newton. First of all, Wilkins is a dude and can jump out of the gym. However, he is very raw and has not filled out his frame yet.

Wilkins made a few eye-popping plays, though. I can see that Wilkins has a little bit of his dad in him when he goes up for a slam dunk. As far as speaking to him after the game, Wilkins likes what Mike White is doing this year. He takes pride in committing to Georgia and continuing on his family's legacy at Georgia. Tradition is very important to him. Wilkins said he chose Georgia because it has "always been home" for him.

Wilkins and 2024 signee Asa Newell talk regularly. The two have developed a relationship and he hopes he gets to play with Newell one day. He knows Newell could be a one-and-done, but hopes not for Georgia's sake. He plans on getting up to Athens soon and is continuing to help White recruit the state, especially around the Atlanta area. Wilkins wants to continue to change the culture at Georgia under White when he arrives.
