Colin Hurley is one of the most talented freshman quarterbacks in the country. Hurley is a true pocket passer with a strong and accurate arm.
Hurley already has an offer from Georgia and was in Athens this summer. It's never too early to recruit the next "franchise" guy folks.
UGASports caught up with Hurley on his upcoming visit on Saturday and his recruitment by Georgia and overall. (Very polite young man. I'm only 31 but felt twice that with all the sirs Hurley was dropping.)
Recruiting with Georgia has been special. The coaches and staff have been very good to me and my family, sir. I’ve spoken with Coach Monken and Coach Smart, mostly, sir. I also spoke with Coach Hankton and Coach Luke, but mostly Coach Smart and Monken, sir. I would say Georgia is with a small group of other schools at the top of my list, for a number of reasons. I have a small circle of people who help me with recruiting and they are my high school coaches, my trainers (QB, Strength & Performance), my throwing Doctor, my parents, my favorite teacher and a few others. We all speak regularly and map out what’s best for me. I will be in Athens tomorrow and look forward to seeing the coaches again and some of the players I already know, sir. I think the stadium will be crazy and wild too! It’s a big SEC game. - Colin Hurley
Hurley has offers from Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, Florida State, Miami, and MTSU. Lane Kiffin is prevalent in his recruitment from the Rebels.
A name to follow over the next couple of years for sure.
