I’ve had some time to think about this a little more….
There have been a lot of really good comparisons made to close calls in years that were ultimately successful. One that has not been mentioned was the early game against south Carolina last year. We ultimately did what we had to but just looked so clunky for the entire first half. This is all to say that nobody uses these sorts of performances better than Kirby to get a team right. But the biggest concern for me is that Bobo is a total liability. He can have runs like we had from Florida-Tennessee last year where we look like a well oiled machine to what we saw last week. You just know he’s going only an egg or 2 each year. It’s unacceptable given the resources we have honestly. If we are going to win in TTOWN and have a chance to get to the playoffs hes going to have to get Beck into rhythm earlier. If that means we go fast, throw to set up the run or use any other mildly modern twist to offense, so be it.
