Another 2025 PG with UGA offer:

SEC Basketball
Alabama
Rothstein: Alabama blocked 133 shots as a team last season.
Cliff Omoruyi blocked 93.
Of all the reasons why the Crimson Tide are a trendy pick to return to the Final Four in 2025, improved rim protection may be the biggest one.
Missouri
Pourover: College Basketball coaches have leaned hard into experience to solve their problems

SB Nation: Pourover: Just how deep does the experience rabbit hole go?
Part 2 of my look into the huge infusion of experience into SEC rosters.
“LSU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt all had zero games and minutes played by any newcomers in 2019. But think about this, the team with the fewest imported games played this season (South Carolina at 208) still had more games played imported than the highest team (Arkansas at 191) from 2019. There was a 693% increase in games played, and 721% increase in minutes played. From 13 imported players to 78 players.
There are 83 seniors heading to play this SEC season. 51 of them have signed to play for their school this spring. Florida has only signed one, everyone else has at least signed 2, Ole Miss and Oklahoma have each signed five, and Kentucky has signed SEVEN! Those seven have combined for 753 games and 18,848 minutes. An average of over 2500 minutes and 107 games.
On top of all that, there are 9 players who have averaged more than 30 mpg in their career, and 23 who have averaged over 27 mpg. There are 44 who’ve averaged over 25 mpg. Of the 19 players returning who have played less than 10 minutes a game? 17 are returning players. The most experienced returners? Caleb Grill, Grant Nelson, Johni Broome, Mark Sears... all transfers. In fact of the 67 players who’ve logged 1500 minutes or more and are on SEC rosters for this upcoming season, only five haven’t transferred.
That’s where we are.
There is a world of experience about to embark on this upcoming season of SEC play. 10,600 games played, 233,400 minutes played. Once you hit around the top 11 in minutes played returning, you hit guys who were freshmen last season.
145 players of 208 spots is around 70% of the league. There’s 40 signed freshmen, which is 19%. So roughly 11% of spots remain open. With 80 inbound transfers, that’s 38.4% of the league coming in via the portal. And with 51 of those transfers being seniors... another 24.5% of the league. Basically one out of four players is a transfer senior.
We’re at the end of this experiment, at least in terms of the super seniors. This should be the last year of extended eligibility. there are seniors who’s first season was the year after the COVID bonus year. Then there are 33 juniors, 36 sophomores, and 40 freshmen. Will the league trend back towards “normalcy”? Whatever that means.”
