Tough back to back, although St. John’s has a packed schedule as well…

St. John’s and Georgia have announced their game on November 24 at The Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas. Bulldogs will also play Marquette on Nov. 23 at Atlantis. Red Storm also play Nov. 21 and 22 in the Baha Mar Hoops Classic. The field: SJU, Baylor, Tennessee, Virginia.

Georgia should ease into that series of games:

“I think we’ll open with four at home that are winnable,” White said last week. “We’re obviously going to have to show up and play well. Hopefully we’ll get some momentum early season as compared to last season.”

It’s reporting time…

Arkansas
Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile will return to the Hogs next season, the team announced.

Brazile is a 6-10 forward from Springfield, Missouri who began his career playing one season at Missouri before playing the last two for Arkansas.

He averaged 8.9PPG, 5.9RPG and 1.2BPG last season.

Arkansas' 2024-25 roster:

Boogie Fland

DJ Wagner

Johnell Davis

Trevon Brazile

Jonas Aidoo

Karter Knox

Billy Richmond

Zvonimir Ivisic

Adou Thiero

Sean Paul: Love the nine guys, but I think deciding to not add at least one more dude is a bad plan. Doesn’t even have to be a huge difference maker. Just a guy who can play if there’s a few injuries. Have 10 guys. Another experienced guard wouldn’t hurt.

Florida
Next season's game between Florida and Florida State will be on Friday, November 15th in Tallahassee.

Florida will host Jacksonville as part of its 2024-25 non-conference schedule.

Wichita State will be the fourth team in an early season tournament in Orlando along with Florida, Wake Forest, and Minnesota, according to a source.

Kentucky
Kentucky will host Lipscomb as part of its 2024 Multi-Team Event, per multiple sources. The Bisons will also play a game at Western Kentucky as part of the event and host the fourth team.

The fourth team is still TBD (likely an HBCU, per CBS Sports).

South Carolina
Indiana's home game against South Carolina is set for Nov. 16

BYU
KSL: What’s Causing Increased Money For BYU Basketball?

It begs the question, what has caused the increase in resources for a self-sustaining BYU basketball program that doesn’t receive tithing or tax dollars from the state?

Utah Jazz and Utah NHL owner Ryan Smith, who has an estimated net worth of over $2 billion, spoke to Father & Sons basketball camp attendees over Memorial Day weekend. He expressed a desire to help the BYU basketball program in any way he can.

Even ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski pointed out that Young has “all the resources there to win big” and noted Smith by saying, “Who’s a big supporter of BYU.”

Kansas State
Absolutely massive, game changing news for Kansas State. Ugonna Onyeso is an interior menace on the defensive end. Onyenso blocked 2.8 shots per game, and five in the Wildcats tourney loss against Oakland.

Really strong front court in Manhattan with Onyenso, Baye Fall & Achor Achor

Miami
Yale transfer Yussif Basa-Ama has committed to Miami.

The 6-8 forward appeared in 14 games for the Ivy Champion Bulldogs, who upset #4 Auburn in March Madness. Basa-Ama was the Florida 2020 Class 3A Player of the Year and a standout at Boca Raton-St. Andrew's.

LA Lakers
Duke legend JJ Redick has been hired as the next Head Coach of the Lakers.

NBA Draft

Yahoo Sports: 1. Atlanta Hawks: G/F Zaccharie Risacher

Ht./Wt.: 6-9, 204 pounds | JL Bourg (France)

Risacher ended his season in France on a high note, playing his best basketball in front of scouts and executives from the Hawks, Wizards and Rockets last month. He is one of the best catch-and-shoot wings in the draft and has extended his game off the bounce and as a facilitator. In a series against Monaco, Risacher averaged 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 30 minutes per game.

2. Washington Wizards: C Alex Sarr

Ht./Wt.: 7-1, 205 pounds | Perth Wildcats (Australia)

Sarr is the best big in this draft with his size and versatility. He is an elite rim protector and has showed he can be effective in pick-and-pop situations, knocking down 3s during the combine shooting drills. He can also defend the perimeter and moves extremely well for his size, fitting the mold of the new hybrid center in the NBA.

3. Houston Rockets: G Stephon Castle

Ht./Wt.: 6-6, 215 pounds | Class: Freshman | UConn

Castle was one of the best defending guards in college basketball this season and followed that up with a solid shooting performance at the combine. He has great size and is a potential superstar in this draft with his two-way play and upside as a combo guard.

4. San Antonio Spurs: G Reed Sheppard

Ht./Wt.: 6-3, 187 pounds | Class: Freshman | Kentucky

Sheppard's combination of shot creation, passing and sneaky athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect in the top half of the lottery. He plays the right way and his game translates well to the NBA with how productive he can be with or without the ball on offense.

9. Memphis Grizzlies: G Dalton Knecht

Ht./Wt.: 6-6, 215 pounds | Class: Senior | Tennessee

Knecht was one of the best scorers in college basketball and can contribute immediately to any team next season. He can be slotted on or off the ball in the starting backcourt alongside Ja Morant or lead the second unit.

18. Orlando Magic: G Isaiah Collier

Ht./Wt.: 6-5, 210 pounds | Class: Freshman | USC

The Magic have yet to find their franchise-changing guard who can be slotted next to Paolo Bancheroas they continue to build a competitive team in the Eastern Conference. Collier didn't have a breakout season at USC, but he was a top recruit out of high school and a player whose game could translate to the NBA and exceed his draft stock in this weaker draft class.

30. Boston Celtics: C Zach Edey

Ht./Wt.: 7-4, 300 pounds | Class: Senior | Purdue

The Celtics are a championship-caliber team and have the luxury to take a swing on Edey, whose NBA game and projection is unknown with his limited skills in the paint and unknown range past the 3-point line.

55. Los Angeles Lakers: G Bronny James

Ht./Wt.: 6-3, 210 pounds | Class: Freshman |”
