Super excited.
Bad first: pitching has serious issues. Although I'll say the mistakes made this weekend were due to strike pitches so that's not awful. Its disappointing the caliber of pitchers recruited by the previous staff. But if Wes keeps preaching throwing strikes I think we can get more outs and avoid more big hits than the other team.
Good: I'd venture there has never been a transfer group of experienced players like this one. Maybe they are mercenaries, but the grit I saw these past 2 games don't align with that.
I will be surprised if we can't win 15 games in conference. If we don't, pitching will be the reason.
This baseball team has a chance to do really well. That gives me excitement. What a difference a season makes and the people that are making the talent evaluations.
