My Christmas wish is for many of you to step away from the hot takes, the “we ain’t never gonna get nobody” attitudes and constant negativity.
We are in the Good Ol Days people. We are playing for our 3rd National Championship in 4 years. We have a coach who consistently, despite injuries, coaching changes and an ever changing landscape in college sports - puts together a team that plays more for the G on their helmet than the name on their jersey. I’d love to put together a modern day “All Star” type team as much as anyone, but evidence has shown that players who chase dollars and promises of starts don’t seem to produce the results you’d think, often leaving carnage and broken locker rooms behind. Program over player.
As much as I believe I know what moves should be made, plays to call and coaches to hire, the last time I checked I wasn’t on any hot lists to be hired as an SEC Coach. I’m willing to bet neither are are you. I trust Coach Smart and I wish some of you would learn to do the same and support our team.
