JJ played with total confidence and just lit the Bees up. Maten is really becoming consistent on both ends; he kept it close in the first half, and JJ won it in the second.
We shut Mitchell's big butt down after giving up 20 pts and 9 boards to him last year. 0, count'em 0, pts!! Also, Stephens did not come off the bench and kill us with 3s like he did last year.
We showed a little zone after the under 4 TO, and Tech was completely off guard. We should have zoned them more. Wish we would change defenses more often. It is tough to run an offense when you don't know what the defense is going to be. And pressure really helps, too. We pressed a little late and threw Tech off, as well.
DO is a hoss; his baby hook is gonna be a weapon when it falls. He has tremendous energy and plays hard. He should be starting very soon.
Please, please, please stop talking about how much the White kid could have helped us. He did next to nothing. 4 pts and 8 rebounds I think. He's not that great. We have who we have. Stop crying over spilt milk.
Our team could be really good. We always improve over the Xmas break, and this year seems to be no exception. But I wish Fox would stop with the crazy substitution patterns. He is leaving us with line-ups that leave me shaking my head in disbelief.
Overall, great win and great to break the streak. I think this win was big for the team and for Fox.
