Are you a college student, faculty or staff member? If not, then why are you obsessed about it? Let those of us who are in academia deal with it. I teach in college and this is no big deal.

This will be used as a spring board for your sides radicalism. The coming year will be the worst on record for social conflicts- racial divide, gender divide, cultural divide, inequality agitation, multiply faux crisis, etc., as the Dems/Progressive/Socialist become aware more agitated leftist radicals are required at the polls.
