We've discussed Memphis's young HC Justin Fuentes and Houston's young HC Tom Herman in regards to positions already open and one in particular that MIGHT be open.
Herman's Houston squad scored 21 straight points in the 4th quarter to win 35-34. He is now 10-0 in his first season as a HC. I think he just might be the best up and coming HC since his old boss Urban Meyer came along.

I'm sure Herman took the Houston job thinking, "Briles and Sumlin had quick success here and parlayed it into better jobs at Baylor and Texas A&M. I can do that."

I'm also sure that Herman is aware that Charlie Strong is on an extremely uncomfortable hot seat at Texas and might be one-and-done. That job will be available soon.

I could see a more likely scenario where Strong bolts to South Carolina and Herman goes to Texas.
