I just touched down to do a boys AAU basketball event in preparation for trying to move up from highschool to the college level officating. Spoke with an Atlanta based AAU Coach about the UGA opening and was surprised at his opinion on it. Was told UGA should be better than were they are as a program, but some of his boys never fully believed in Fox, but with the right Coach he believes it can be a consistent NCAA tourney team. He said a big name would be great due to most Coaches having a relationship and trust with him, but if UGA went mid major he has had conversations with other AAU Coaches and they would like to see Grant get it because he feels he is young enough to relate to his guys like Kirby with football, and it would be nice to see him do well as they need more Coaches like Grant to succeed. I just want UGA to do well no matter the Coach but for those who don't like Grant you might be missing someone who could tear Atlanta up with Jonas.
