Ok. I have done some more research on this. They definitely thought they had him. The lawyers who resigned are pissed. I do get there side of the story. This is a case that is an all time resume builder. Taking down the mayor of New York is a pretty big feather in your cap for an attorney wanting to move up any ladders.

They are pissed at the wrong people. This case went back to 2012. The people resigning were temporarily appointed to see things thru. It is a grand standing move. This doesn’t mean he would have been found guilty either. Adams contends that the Biden doj threatened him with these charges if he didn’t play ball on immigration. We have seen the lawfare play out in this country. Pretty obvious what was going on there. More evidence is coming out daily that the White House was behind all of it. Play these kind of dirty politics and don’t cry, whine and bitch about it when it happens to you. I know you are a big two wrongs don’t make a right guy, but there are people who are wait til the shoe is on the other foot out there as well. Politics is a dirty business for sure.

The Sassoon lady was the biggest name to resign. She is a Republican just assigned to the case by Trump. Apparently she accepted the role trump appointed her to thinking she would be able to handle this case going forward. You can call this integrity. Like you did in another thread. Or you can call it ambition thwarted. Depends on who you ask. Go read some articles about her. Most start out with ambitious lawyer Danielle Sassoon. Some are calling it a very interesting and savy political move. Fwiw
