This was a team loss in every way. Coaches, players, and referees all had a hand in it. To blame Bobo as the only reason the team lost is ludicrous. Was it Bobo that allowed Bama’s running back to catch 4 uncontested passes on their last touchdown drive? Did Bobo not tackle Milroe on the last series when he ran for two first downs and Alabama ran out the clock? Did Bobo flinch so that a 45-yard field goal attempt became 50? I can go on and so can you.
Yes, the offensive and defensive schemes weren’t quite good enough to win. The refs are going to make mistakes in every game because the game has gotten too fast for a bunch of older men to keep up with it. Players miss blocks, tackles, and sometimes flinch at the wrong time because they are human beings 18-22 years old. The team lost a very close game against a good football team. I feel bad for the players, coaches, staff, and fans. But Georgia lost as a team the same way they won as a team 29 straight games. This is still the best of times. I’ll wear my UGA gear proudly tomorrow and from now on, win or lose. GO DAWGS!!
