It's my understanding, as a new member, that there has been a lot of criticism directed at CMF for not signing James White. Well, after seeing DO enough, I believe Dan (a guy who I also understand rarely makes definitive/strong/opinionated statements) even more when he said in another thread recently something to the effect that Derek Ogbeide was going to be pretty special soon. Yeah, we could use them both for sure, but if DO never got hurt and we have Mack, are we a better team than DO + James White in '15-'16? I think it's worth a debate. In '16-'17, '17-'18, and '18-'19, it's not even close for obvious reasons. And heck, Edwards may be as good or better than White by mid-season or season's end...White sure didn't do much vs. us.
So, I guess what I'm saying is. James White is water under the bridge. I'm kinda sorry to bring him back up. Just stoked about our front court for the next 2.5--or longer if we can grab someone great in '16 or '17.
Maten + Ogbeide complement each other well. And, Edwards complements them.
Turtle's starting to look better though I wanna see him make more shots.
Very very excited about the next few years, hoops brethren.
But really, this is a tribute to Notorious OBD. Kid is all that was advertised and more. We'll have have one of the best 4/5 combinations in this league if not the country in '16-'17 and '17-'18
