based on their talent; their pro careers count in this list.

1. Francis Tarkenton - If you didn’t see him play, you just don’t understand. He was the smartest, most accurate passer, best scrambler I have ever seen.
2. Matthew Stafford - best arm, very savvy passer, last night validated this ranking
3. Aaron Murray
4.Eric Zeier
5.Tie - Andy Johnson, Buck Belue: AJ was uber talented; his passing skills deteriorated during his career at UGA because VD RARELY let him throw the ball; the best running QB ever at UGA. Buck Belue was also very talented; he had more big plays as a FR & Soph than he did as a JR & SR because of Herschel (all we did was give the ball to HW during BB’s last two years); BB’s passing skills deteriorated also because VD never let him throw the football.

I don’t think Stet is one of the top six. Our NC was won, to a large degree, by the greatest D we have ever had. Stet certainly came through for us and made some great plays; Stet was also fortunate to have Brock Bowers, who was another reason we won the NC, and the great creativity of OC Monken. Stet sure came through for us, but his talent does not compare with the top 5. What does your list look like after this season?
