At the risk of offending my friend @cherrydawg (who’s seems to hate the Atlantic above all other liberal media), I highly recommend you take a few minutes and read this opinion piece from the Atlantic. I find it does an outstanding job of framing and tying together some of the events happening across the world and who and what we are really at war with.

It should resonate for true conservatives on here as much or more than it should for liberals. I’ll be very interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Well written article, did not point fingers right or left, just stated the obvious. However, poor policies by government leadership can cause tremendous problems for not only our country , but the whole of civilized nations all over the earth.

We don’t have a clue who’s in our country & we will have terroristic acts committed against us at some point. Hope like hell I’m wrong , but likely not. Of course, our CIA & FBI are spending more time looking at all those white supremacists over running our country than foreign bad actors.

When we agree that sucking the brains out of a human baby for convenience is barbaric, then we can discuss Old Testament old middle eastern wars.

When we take care of our own demonic barbarisms, we can opine on what others do.

We cry over baby seals being clubbed yet kill for convenience.

And the majority voted Biden into the Presidency…….

The majority…………… it’s why we are a republic.

Let’s talk gender binaries. Yep, that’s important.

I think the majority of US CITIZENS would rather pay $2.00 a gallon for gas and not have to buy a $60,000 electric car to save the planet in the imaginary world of climate control… maybe time to move on to more important things……..

Like killing human beings because we are inconvenienced.

Majority rules.

Not in a republic, but yes it does.
Then the minority gets the shaft, like slavery.

The majority elected Hitler. Majority rule is a fickle thing.
The Nazi party won 33% of the vote in November, 1932. Hitler’s ascension to chancellor was the result of a political deal when Hindenburg and other conservatives thought they could use the extremists in the Nazi party to further their own agenda. Of course the Nazis ended up outflanking the conservatives and running the country in short order.

Sound familiar?

PW, you are on a roll today. It’s quite a leap to suggest a Trump administration would result in $2 gas. I guess we should also assume that Trump would have completely avoided the inflation that currently plagues every developed economy in the world.

You think life and rights begin at conception. Good for you and I understand that position, which for most of those who agree with you is a belief rooted in personal religious views. The majority of the country does not agree with you and shouldn’t be forced to live by your religious code.

And we can’t discuss other threats in the world because you don’t agree with abortion?

To a point. I think the majority is okay with 12-20 weeks although I don't think it's as enthusiastic as you may believe. After that, it drops pretty sharply.

Damn about that Nazi thing sounds like what the Dems pulled.

It’s science. We can talk about anything you want. I just find humor in what liberals see as inhumane.

Just watched a debate with a supporter of Palestine. Guess what? When the host tells him about the atrocities Hamas committed, he simply says it's "Western propaganda". Appears everyone can play this game these days.
Yeah that’s what some of these dem woke liberals said. I agree with you on that.

That's why I say most of this partisanship (the people's beliefs) is based on fanatacism and not actual facts (respected and verified media reporting). It's football. We have our teams. We cheer. We boo.
If we don't like the reporting, just say it's partisanship.

Isn't that why we have a free press? It's one thing to cling to a narrative in a debate but a real journo that can produce the receipts can make a spinner look foolish but that's not how we do journalism any longer. It's mostly National Enquirer type reporting designed for entertainment and drawing an audience.

As far as atrocities committed in the name of Palestinian interest, you can go back to 1972 and document numerous attacks against civilian targets in Israel. So when a Palestinian supporter starts spinning, it should be quite easy to establish a credible fact pattern and illustrate the absurdity of the comment.

I am not Jewish. That being said, anything the NYT prints I don’t believe for a second. Now I know some of you may remember when the Times was anything but antisemitic, IMO, but those days are long gone. They have chosen the path of the democratic socialists, like those geniuses at Harvard. Read the comments in response to an article about the war. They might as well have been written by Hamas or hezbollah.

the 33% was the majority of the votes for 1 candidate, if I recall they had some sort of ranked voting structure.

Correct. It’s the parliamentary system with multiple parties. The point is they did not have the support of the majority of the country and traditional conservatives thought they could form a coalition government and use the Nazis to their own ends and of course the exact opposite happened.
