our OOC schedule is arguably the worst in the CMF era, and it still is. We all said we needed no less than two losses in our OOC schedule and we are on the cut line now.
Tuesday is Tech... Another really bad team. But so far, we have played to the level of our opponents, so even though I look at our team on paper and expect a blowout, this will probably go down to the last minute. If you all thought the team was tight yesterday, I can't wait to see how loose and relaxed they will play after CMF lectures them to death on the plane ride home and practices today and tomorrow!
At this point, Hammonds is just a body on the floor, taking up space. First 4 games he looked like SEC frosh/year candidate. The last 5 games he looks like a taller KPG, not doing anything but passing as soon as he gets the ball... What is the point?
After yesterday's 1 minute/1 to moment, Hightower should be totally in a tight little ball, curled up in the corner, just like his game needs him to be. He will learn!
Going forward, we need to play Turtle, Crump,?, Yante and DO, with Hammonds off the bench, and Edwards. Wow... At this point, even I cannot put 7 guys on the court I want to see play... Can you?
Who starts at 3? Is Crump really good or really bad and gets lucky? Wth happened to Harris, Diatta, Clax, and DO?
And people want to say I am too negative, but dang, I watch this team closely and actually go to the games. I see what I see... This team went from playing loose and fun, to being scolded and ovetcoached for playing loose and fun. As of now, I will call the Tech game even, the Temple game a loss, and late Jan vs KState a loss... So 8-4 best option in OOC. I want to believe, and hope, but right now, I can do neither. Someone give me some stats to cheer me up (about basketball and our team, my life is fine).
