That was painful to watch & endure but I'm always glad to get any win.

After another abomination of a 1st half overall & us not having a defense, it's unreal that we still won that game.

Another big positive from that game is that it cemented the fact that we need a real OC. There's no way you can come out of that game & say Bobo is a good long term option.

Maybe it will even encourage Kirby to go get a real DC as well, since Schumann has proven to not be up to the task. Every position group in defense got much worse this season. He's a great recruiter & position coach but not a great DC.

But I'll say it again, tonight just exacerbated my biggest fear.... that Kirby is burnt out & doesn't have his heart into it anymore. I'm not saying that is definitely the case, but a lot of shots on TV of him looked like he was different & not as fiery as he used to be.
His best friend at OC is obviously not working out either & it looks like he'll need a complete overhaul in the offseason.
I'm sure the portal & paying players NIL $ is wearing down every coach including Kirby. Having to constantly recruit even the guys currently in the roster is BS. Then they expect huge salaries without producing on the field.

Mykel is the prime example. We're paying him a shit ton of money & the return on investment is garbage. He might as well had not even played tonight because he made zero impact, as usual. First round talent & no on-field production.

I hate to be a wet blanket but it just seems like the dynasty that Kirby was building is gradually deteriorating. I hope I'm just being overly pessimistic but I'm dreading what this offseason may bring for multiple reasons.
