Longtime season ticket holder, Alumni, live in Athens so I go to almost all of the home games.
1. Why does it seem like most good teams we play always have 1 or more guys who can flat out shoot the basketball and we never do? Can shooting not be taught? I know JJ can shoot and KG could on occasion but we never have a lights out shooter. Marquette has several.
2. Who on our roster can create his own shot off the dribble?
3. Why can't our freshmen hardly ever get significant playing time when other schools seem to always play freshmen? Maybe we can't coach them up enough to play?
4. Noticed yesterday that when we run the high ball screen we never look to the guy rolling to the basket. It was open most all day from my vantage point.
5. Besides YM & JJ our guys are tentative. Especially on offense. Maybe they're scared of getting yanked if they make a mistake?
6. Harris makes a bad pass, turns the ball over and is yanked immediately. JP turns the ball over on 3 consecutive possessions before he is yanked.
7. DO & ME are yanked immediately after scoring a basket. It seems that if ANYONE other than YM & JJ show signs of scoring that they should be left in the game to get more comfortable?
8. HK gives up a 3 point play every time he enters the game. Playing defense with his hands and not his feet.
9. At least KPG gives 100%.
