Any Directv subscribers use the Genie?

moving to a new house and have been using the whole home service with HD dvr's, just wondering about the genie.

I have it and it's nothing special. The cheapest route would

be one main receiver and a wireless one at each additional TV. Genie allows you to stop and start from another room. BFD

Yep, main advantage is way more dvr storage on new system, also units are

much much smaller

only reason I haven't switched to that is lack of OTA port but

that's not a big issue to 95% of subscribers. So I keep my original HD DVR until it gets died.

does it allow you to pause live TV in the other rooms?

that's the biggest problem with the xfinity whole home system. It is nice to be able to watch stuff recorded in another room, but if you can't pause or rewind live TV it is pretty much useless.
