I'm pretty sure I didn't get it because I make BEF contributions and purchase season tickets, because I do that through third parties who have sweet sweet legacy seating placements dating back to the 70s. I do sometimes buy additional seats through StubHub when relatives are in town or whatever, and I think that may be the audience they are targeting: "swing voters" who buy a ticket every now and then but don't do so regularly.

The 2,000 hardcore degenerates who were at the NIT game don't need to be marketed to: they're hooked -- lives ruined, destinies made wretched by a horrible habit they just can't shake.

Anyway, a lot of typical marketing questions, but there was a catchall at the end, and I tried to distill the essence of this board's views for my response; I wanted to end on a positive note although I don't personally care about promotions:

Get a reasonably modern center court score board. Do more of the kind of video with the players that you are doing already. Paint the damn ceiling -- it's a disgrace. Start some basketball cheers/traditions instead of mindlessly aping football. The "four" thing is beyond stupid as an attempted carryover. Whoever is booking the halftime entertainment is doing a good job; I'm there for the hoops, but if you are going to do that stuff, you might as well hire good acts and we are.
