the largest mail order record shop in America, way back in the 60's? They were in Gallatin, Tn. Most radio stations in the south shut down @ 6 PM. But then the kids would get rollin'. The Everly Brothers, "Fats" Domino, Little Willie John, Laverne Baker, Howlin' Wolf and Little Richard. "A-wop-bom-a-loo-mop-a-lop-boom-boom" with your left hand on the wheel and your right either on a Falstaff, Blue Ribbon or Schiltz or if your were lucky enough a babe. I'm 70 now but it's like it was yesterday.

Right there with you and miss those truly "good old days". Gallantin, Tennessee was a million miles away but the strength of radio was like next door. Enjoyed the read!
