With yesterday’s Dish Network debacle of everything crashing (website, app, customer service dropping calls, not able to connect to satellite with Dish Playmaker at tailgate), I’m about ready to drop Dish. I had to hotspot my phone to my smart TV at the tailgate and run YTTV. Then, a nice gentleman and his tailgate allowed me to borrow his Verizon jet pack to connect my Vizio smart tv to it and surprisingly it held up really well through the day. I’ve always been hesitant on using a hotspot or anything like that which involves cell towers because Athens usually gets so bogged down and it can be unreliable but yesterday was a good litmus test and surprisingly it held up really well. One of our tailgate friends said they use T-Mobile home internet at their house boat on Lake Lanier and it’s actually good enough where it provides 5G internet for their boat and their neighbors boat. It’s a small little tower and is apparently super easy to set up and like $50 a month, no annual contract. Anyone else use this and if so, how do you like it and how reliable is it?
