Islam, the religion of peace. Does that (or any other) "religion" not reflect the true nature of its followers? Does the true nature of its followers dictate how that religion is written as well as how it is practiced and followed?
Tribal tendencies dwell in all of us (SEC football anyone?). Are tribal tendencies stronger (more about war than games) in some parts of the world than others? Should tribal factions within a region or country be considered and honored as critical parts of a greater good for a religion or a government, or a religious government or a governmental religion? Or should they be monitored and controlled? Is it wrong for us to try to define intentions as we strive to understand motivations within these different factions, sects and religions?
And at what point of definition, understanding and conciliation does a very large shark, who no longer wants to be called a shark (because of negative loan and lawyer and business metaphors) , become less dangerous or not dangerous at all?
