I about blew a gasket in 2009 when the first away ticket went to $100 at Oklahoma State. Now the SEC schools continue to stick to each other and laughing all the way to the bank thinking they have us hooked. At nearly 57 years old I can easily afford this overpriced ticket; however, my HDTV will soon become an ultra high-def TV without the hassles of parking and sitting in the corner of the end zone with my fellow Dawg fans.
The young fans who do want to travel to the games will not be able to afford these prices.
Beware leaders of this wonderful game....you are very close to pricing yourself out of your market and may very well soon suffer the same problems NCAA basketball has with declining attendance and TV ratings.
With lousy tailgate options, lousy concessions, impossible Wi-Fi connections, limited parking, etc. the game day experience could be a lost art especially for away games.
