Payroll data has been a mirage - part-time jobs, migrant jobs, government jobs.

GDP boosted by the government funded cash grab. Stimulus plus "Inflation Reduction Act" plus "Chips Act"......aka handouts with little oversight.

CPI data totally flawed as well, leading to the Fed over-doing it on rates.
 
Not really in the market but I saw a Suburban i liked while getting my car serviced at a dealership. The darn thing was stickered at 97K and you see these SUVs all over the place. Id hate to think of how much money you immediately flushed by driving one off the lot.

It is clobbering the insurance business. And rates. Freaking insane how expensive new cars have become. None are now holding value

these car prices are insane, how in the hell did they go up SO much in the last 10 years? I wonder if cash for clunkers is rearing its ugly head
