Georgia will be preseason number 1 and face no resistance in the regular season. They will be riding a 29 game win streak going into Atlanta next year.
Bama has a favorable home schedule, with just two tough road games at A&M and Auburn. Bama takes care of the home schedule and goes at least 4-1 on the road and Bama is in Atlanta too.
We all know how Bama plays as a underdog.
Georgia was lucky Gump:
Georgia is in a great spot, but this is an overreaction.
Honestly, they got outplayed by Ohio State and very easily could have lost that game. They were not some invincible wrecking ball like TCU made them look last night.
UGA is a program in an amazing spot, but the line between a national title and not having one is much thinner than what you saw last night.
This Old Gump may be on to something: One thing that watching Georgia makes clear to me is that we have to get back to being dominant on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. UGA does that and you see the results. You saw the results when we were dominant a few years ago. Our linemen have to step up.

Tip of the hat Gump: Everyone here griping about Georgia's dominating win, see yourself out. That's how we expect our team to play, and I couldn't think of any reason to be that way other than sheer jealousy. Going for it on 4th and 5 no matter the score is a gamble, TCU needs to nut up and learn to play defense. That's not classless, it's domination. I think our team probably would have been better than TCU, but I don't think our team, or any other teams were going to deny UGA the championship this season.
Nielsen Gump: I hope and expect ESPN's viewer ratings are the worst ever for a championship.
"They should select the playoff teams after they play the playoff games, Pawl" Gump: according to the cfp rankings, and regardless in general, arguably the top two first two contending teams out of the cfp beat the b12 and acc champions by 25 and 17 points, also both teams just happen to be sec teams BAMA and tenner…so maybe they should explain the 4 best again…then again short memories for many people and the 12 team playoff will put an end to their incompetence and need to explain next year at selection time.

Most of you complaining about this don’t really give a damn about how bad the title game was; you’re just upset your team (my team) which blew multiple chances didn’t get selected.
It ain’t the committee’s fault:
- Tennessee folded like a lawn chair vs USCe
- Alabama became Penalty U
- Lincoln Riley Lincoln Riley’d vs Utah
- Michigan lost to Trash Can U
- Oregon blew a 21-point lead on Oregon St
And this repeated “cliche” about “four best teams” and ASSUMING that means Alabama….well it would if we didn’t install a Swiss cheese defense.
"Georgia's doing the Rammering and Jammering these days" Gump: Preach. Their coordinators are on a different level. Scheme, energy, etc. We get BOB in the booth and zero emotion Golding. I honesty don't know if Saban sees it at this point.
