Bad news Chat Dems! J6 political prisoners are now finally able to speak out and wow it’s a bad bad look

Every convict has a similar story.

He took selfies after he was in the first wave of rioters that ripped down the barricades, then he climbed the scaffolding and took pictures. Posted all of it on social media.

When you are out on bond, or serving a sentence of probation, the G can search your premises without a warrant.

If you have access to PACER, read the sentencing report. What a colossal load of BS that thread is.

Should be low hanging fruit for congressional investigators if his story is true. I would imagine Kash Patel and Pam Bondi would be more than willing to release any docs that corroborates any bill of rights violations by fed enforcement officials.

Of course, I'm not taking this guys story as the complete truth but I would imagine you could find out if he was 100% clean before his arrest, if he really had a FFL license, if his property was repeatedly searched and if the charge was trespassing on grounds outside of the capital. I would also guess that there is government video of people being allowed to enter the area as well. All of this doesn't have to be true to be a horrific violation of rights.

Some additional info about Daughtry:

He forced his way past barricades, tore down fencing, and reached the Capitol door before being forced to retreat after having been shot with rubber bullets by law enforcement. He initially pled not guilty but changed his plea to guilty of one misdemeanor count of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds. He was sentenced in June 2022 to three years probation, including 60 days of home detention (from court records).

Daughtry was fired from his job on the Pelham GA police department in early 2020, because his police chief found out he was still running a business called CK Arms in Camilla GA, and police officers in Pelham are not permitted to have additional or secondary employment. The government never sought Daughtry's detention. (From his defense lawyer's Sentencing Memorandum:) "Mr. Daughtry’s individual conduct, while criminal and dangerous writ large, was not violent in any way. Mr. Daughtry accepts full responsibility for his actions that day, and for the decisions he made."

Sounds like the punishment fit the crime in his case? Now of course he'll be able to tell the bankrupt conspiracy nut Alex Jones just how wrongfully he was treated.

I saw video of officers removing the barricades and escorting folks in. So maybe he is telling the truth and you are full of it?

"A Pelham Police Department officer who had seen Daughtry’s Facebook posts, called Daughtry on January 6th at approximately 4:24 p.m. and recorded their communication,” the DOJ said in its sentencing memorandum. “In this conversation, Daughtry stated that he was at the Capitol that day and that he was one of the first people to force his way past the barricades surrounding the perimeter. He acknowledged during the call that he went ‘up to the Capitol door’ but ‘had to back off’ when law enforcement officers shot him with rubber bullets. Daughtry claimed, ‘We the one that tore the fence down up there.’ He also claimed ‘We was the first ones over the fence. Everyone followed us.'”

Which of his stories is true?

I don't even know what my country stands for any more. Our DOJ is no better than the Russian KGB. Just think if Kamala was in charge. I hope some brave new DOJ officials shines the light on the unbelievable corruption. P.S. The J6 situation is NOT the only significant national event where the DOJ extended its heavy-handed illegal corruption and practices!

You struggle with the truth. Who are you talking about that spent 4 years in jail with no court date? I don't know how long Daughtry, who is being discussed, was in jail, but he was sentenced in June 2022 with no jail time so it's not him. Let's see if you can actually answer a question.

Do you believe people were arrested and charged excessively in any way?
1500 charged with crimes seems excessive given what I saw. Many were let in by smiling officers. Some definitely needed to charged and deserved some prison time. Many did not deserve prison time.

Yes, but WTF does that have to do with this claim. Obviously you can't tell us what he was talking about. Nothing else you said here has anything to do with it.

I don't know what you saw. Did you see everything - you can't make that claim. If some were let in, what did they do then. Not too many people seemed to just walk around. Did it make sense to leave when violence started?

I didn't mean to discuss the overall situation, but I think a big mistake was made releasing everyone. Vance had questioned that, but today I saw him kiss Trump's ass. And Trump had said we'll review each case after already making his decision, but he's always lying. And now the DOJ has removed the documentation of the cases. We're under authoritative rule as we expected.

I'm going to sit and watch.

Just like you can’t know either. So why are you so sure of what you think?

Ok- this still has nothing to do with what I asked another poster.

I am sure it was a mistake to release all those felons. There were some serious assaults on police which was documented in their trials. Some of those people are not sorry about what they did and are saying so - that's why I am sure.

Vance had questioned releasing everyone. Why would he say that? I'm not going to put words in your mouth, so tell me if you agree with pardoning everyone.

I have no sympathy for any of those folks that actually attacked LE trying to do their jobs; been there and it is no fun. The U.S. Court of Appeals however overturned over 200 of the sentences for improperly applied enhancements. I think some of their concern was that many individuals appeared to have been baited to go behind barricades.

I think that there was around 50 that should serve time. They are the ones that attacked the police.

Just looking at the Department of Justice Website, I could only find 14 individuals charged with actual battery on LE. The maximum sentence given out for the Jan 6ers was 22 years on one of the Proud Boys.

Was it only 14 I thought I read somewhere that it was 56 that was actually involved. My bad!
That is all I could tell, but it may have been more. However many it actually was that fought with LE should never have had their sentence commuted. Obama was by far the worst on giving clemency as he did more than the previous 13 Presidents before him. In Biden's clemency of 1900 were several in prison for life for killing LE officers. Obama, Biden, and Trump have abused this privilege granted to the President by the Constitution.

I think they should have waited on the most serious charges and reviewed them before making any decisions.
Same with the deportations. Anyone who has committed a crime or is on a watch list etc should be removed promptly. Others who want to become citizens and will abide by the process and can show the ability take care of themselves should be allowed some latitude.
