I believe he played for the WR team that beat a pretty good Savannah BC team in the playoffs. Like about 60 points. One of the best Ga. hi school team in my lifetime. Could be wrong.

Man I sure hate that. Growing up in Warner Robins in the 70's/80's he was our connection to the Dawgs and the 80 NC, even if he was a Demon and not an Eagle :0). I once asked Herschel about him when I met him in Macon 10-12 years ago. Gosh...Rip Jimmy DGD.
