Baked Ham for Kris Kristofferson

Last time I saw he wasn’t looking great. Great songwriter, musician and actor.
We lost John Ashton as well. He was pretty gaunt looking in that last Beverly Hills Cop movie. What a great character though.
After Kristofferson recovered from Lyme disease, he went on a final tour that included one of those music cruise ships. He got off of that, and my wife saw him perform at The Sunrise Theater in Ft. Pierce, FL. He was tired and weak, and a guitar picker / singer helped him through the songs. During intermission, I got a chance to talk with the helper musician. Turned out that he had also helped Merle Haggard in the same manner in Hag’s late stages. KK did one more show after that and then hung it up. We were glad to see him even in his condition. What a great talent.
