Last I read, they are definitely signed/committed through next year. But, no plans were made to end the series yet. Contracts are typically renewed long term.

I started watching about season 3, caught up with it on Netflix...

really typical post-apocalyptic story lines...people overcoming whatever wiped everyone out, then it eventually turns to people against people.

I guess this generation's fascination with zombies & vampires is what drives it.......some of the episodes had very strong story lines but the second half of this season has been pretty lame. Hell, everybody knows how it ends...they lives their lives in some fashion, the zombies have turned into gnats, and eventually they'll die and turn into zombies.

Still don't see it being reported anywhere or even mentioned on TWD/AMC FB page. I see where Kirkman has an idea of how he will end the comic book, but even still he's not sure exactly when. Biggest cable show on TV now. I find it hard to believe they'll end that cash cow very soon. We shall see.

I have a debate with a friend...I said it wouldn't go more than one or two more seasons, because AMC doesn't try to run shows to the jump the shark point. He thinks it will be on for 5 more years.
