Bama is seriously good at BB now. They lost three of their four scorers from last year and have now hit a reloading phase in their program. I've seen data (which I'm too lazy to look up) that indicates universities get a bump in application numbers with football success. If the universities raise their profile from football, it stands to reason that other sports programs would also elevate somewhat too. My walking around sense tells me this is the case with Bama basketball.
I think our football will likely give our basketball an assist... I wonder how much of a financial commitment it would take to elevate BB significantly (which should be a little easier right now) and to not cut into our football success.
