Folks, my teenage son was expecting payment, via direct deposit from his employer. He has worked this job the past few summers. No issues in the past getting his money.
He was supposed to get paid on May 30. The money is not there.
Bank says they have no record of transaction.
Employer says their records show payment processed as usual.
So the money went somewhere.
I'm trying now to verify that the funds were sent to the correct account number, etc.
If I can verify that funds were sent, to the correct account number, wouldn't the bank be responsible? "The money came to your bank, what happened to it?"
In other words, the employer has a record of sending funds to Bank A
Bank A has no record of getting funds.
Just not sure what to do. My kid shouldn't be out of luck, just because somebody messed up.
