I will begin by saying I appreciate that Mark Fox has brought UGA basketball out of the cellar. I would say it probably has as much to do with really bad bottom tier programs getting worse but he has helped.
Regardless it's time for change. He has not developed players, in fact our veteran players have regressed. Everyone lauds his defensive philosophy but it's flawed. He does not guard the perimeter as well as we should. Our movement off screens is slow and not aggressive.
On offense, well the facts are the facts, he teaches an up screen drive offense wanting to get easy shots and or get to the line. However he has not coached big men well enough on setting screens and has not developed perimeter offense. On top of that we can't shoot FT consistent enough.
Finally our recruiting is not to upper level or even mid level. Having to play HK and Geno significant minutes proves that point. Neither are major conference players.
Let's move on and get someone who can recruit, develop and adjust. It's time
