I was reading ESPN's Future Power Rankings: Quarterbacks article and when talking about Beck, something jumped out to me that either I just hadn't realized or maybe just forgot but Beck finished in the top 4 nationally in both passing yards and completion percentage, connecting on at least 65% of his attempts in every game in 2023.
That is a pretty incredible statistical season for a time starter at QB who hadn't started a game since HS. Add in the fact that he had to play large parts of the season missing either his #1 (Brock) or #2 (Ladd) target and it is all the more impressive. I think we probably took for granted just how great of a year he had last year simply because we didn't win another National Championship but I am REALLY excited to see him in year 2. He has a chance to have a very special season..
