NonDawg Best starting rotations for all-time in MLB History....Are the Braves the best? Only four others that I found you could really argue were better.

Braves: Maddux, Spahn, Niekro, Glavine, Smoltz (all HOFers, 4 of the five won the CY at least once and four 300+ game winners and the other a 200 game winner with 150 plus saves)

LA Dodgers: Kershaw, Koufax, Drysdale, Sutton, Hershiser (four HOFers, four CY winners)

San Francisco Giants: Christy Mathewson, Carl Hubbell, Juan Marichal, Mickey Welch, Tim Keefe (The Giants can almost make a second rotation of HOF starters, All of these are in the HOF and all spent significant time with the club. I'm leaving off a pitcher who is in the HOF and won nearly 250 games in only ten seasons pitched in Amos Rusie and 300 game winner and HOFer Gaylord Perry)

Boston Redsox: Clemens, Cy Young, Pedro, Luis Tiant, Lefty Grove (Only two won CYs, but to be fair, two were too early to be eligible with one as the award's namesake. Four are in the HOF)

Philadelphia Phillies: Steve Carlton, Robin Roberts, Grover Alexander, Curt Schilling, Jim Bunning (Four HOFers and one that should be. All of these pitchers spent significant time and had really. good seasons in Philadelphia, but outside of Roberts and Carlton, they all are remembered just as much or more for their time spent with other clubs.)
