On a YPP basis using only P5 games, the Big 10 has six of the top 15 teams in pass defense. Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Rutgers, Northwestern (lol), and Wisconsin. Penn State, known primarily for its defense, is 28th.
Maybe it's just that the Big 10 has too many lockdown corners and edge rushers to count.
