1. Nice little atmosphere for first game.
2. Chattanooga came out hot, they can shoot. We gave them room - never adjusted on perimeter
3. We came out very tentative. Didn't wake up until down 18-5
4. Anytime we got the lead or momentum we would foul them and kill the MO
5. Free throws: Two stand out - Mann and Wilridge - 10-16 and 2-6 BAD. Maten hit is last 7 out of 8.
6. Thought Mann and Gaines were a little too "amped" up last night. Played a little out of control - TURNOVERS
7. Overtime started out relaxed and gave them shots and that proved to be a dagger just like the start of game
Hopefully staff will really work on turnovers, pushing the defense out into the perimeter especially locking down to start the game. Chattanooga is a good ball team offensively. Not so much defensively. They can shoot. One other thing I would have liked to see is more shot attempts instead of Mann charging into lane, getting fouled and missing free throws. It's a great play if you are a solid free throw shooter. He is not. Why Fox allows this strategy still after years of bad free throw shooting from Mann is mind boggling.
