Vikes should have put one in the end zone. Peterson fumble, defensive gaffe, many chances. Three of four field goals above average in the weather. Unfortunately missed the last one and that is the one that mattered. Nothing about where anyone played college ball.
Walsh had a great year, but he missed the last one and that one really mattered. He's not Scott Norwood, but he may have a hard time shaking this one off. Correct me if my memory is sketchy here, but didn't he miss a makable FG at the end of regulation and then miss a 36 yarder to tie in OT in Outback Bowl?

Agreed....Vikes had their chances and did not deliver... Loss not on Walsh alone .....You're Love for our program is underwhelming!
Unfortunately, I remember him missing in the Mich St. bowl game more than the Arizone st. kick. Now he will be stuck with this playoff miss for a long time to come. That's why you tell you kid if he wants to kick become a punter. As a field goal kicker, no one forgets the ones you miss.
